Not strickly related to hotels, but still useful.
I recently had to reinstall my OS – long story. When I restored my home directory, everything was great, with the exception of my Firefox profile. When I started up Firefox for the first time I found that half of my extensions were not working, and most of them said:
This add-on will be upgraded when Firefox is restarted.
or
This add-on will be uninstalled when Firefox is restarted.
After a bit of digging I found this post with a useful comment by Stephan. I thought I would expand upon that comment a bit, and give some directions to anyone having the same trouble.
Shutdown Firefox: File -> Quit
Open up your Firefox profile, see here if you are not sure where it is located.
Locate the extensions.cache file.
Rename extensions.cache to extensions.cache.old
Start Firefox.
Your extensions should now be working normally.
